Job description

Position Type: Direct Hire
Location: Baytown, TX
Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, Car Allowance, Laptop, Cell Phone, Fuel Card, Reimbursable Expenses.
Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, proven "rock star" Outside Sales Representative to drive revenue growth in the Baytown market. This is an active, field-based role responsible for the full sales cycle—from business development and prospecting to closing service and rental transactions. You will be the face of our company, responsible for aggressively growing our market share by promoting our rental fleet, service capabilities, and parts solutions to industrial, construction, and commercial customers.
We are looking for a proactive hunter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the professional stability and communication skills to manage high-value accounts. If you have a track record of selling equipment, services, or similar industrial solutions, and you want to be rewarded for your direct impact on our bottom line, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Aggressively prospect, identify, and qualify new business opportunities to expand our customer base across industrial, construction, and commercial sectors.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Management: Manage the end-to-end sales process, including initial outreach, job site visits, client presentations, and closing deals.
  • Rental & Service Sales: Actively promote our equipment rental fleet and close rental opportunities; generate service revenue by quoting parts and labor for service jobs.
  • Account Growth: Manage and grow existing customer accounts by providing consultative solutions and identifying opportunities for preventative maintenance and value-added service programs.
  • Responsive Communication: Serve as a dedicated point of contact for clients. Maintain proactive, high-frequency communication with customers to ensure service needs are met and deals are closed.
  • Field Engagement: Conduct regular job site visits to assess equipment needs and build strong, trusted relationships with project managers, site leadership, and maintenance planners.
  • Operational Collaboration: Partner with the service and parts departments to ensure seamless delivery of parts and labor quotes, and monitor project status to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven Sales Experience: 2+ years of successful outside sales experience in business development, territory management, or industrial service sales.
  • Sales Drive: Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle—identifying leads, building a pipeline, and closing revenue-generating transactions.
  • Professional Stability: A solid, consistent work history is required. Candidates with significant gaps without productive employment will not be considered.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience selling forklifts, heavy equipment, or related industrial services is highly preferred. Note: Our client is open to training candidates from other industries if they can demonstrate they are a "true rock star" with the raw ability to sell anything.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You must be proactive, responsive, and comfortable engaging with clients at all levels of an organization.
  • Personality: High-energy, proactive, and resilient. We are looking for individuals who "get things done" and have a relentless drive to succeed.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn our product lines and service offerings quickly. Proficiency in CRM or service management software is a plus.
