SUMMARY 

The Material Expeditor is responsible for the movement of parts through the facility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following-

  • Move, gather, or distribute items throughout the      facility. Records amounts of      materials or items received or distributed.
  • Moves materials and items from receiving or      production areas to storage, shipping, or to other designated areas.
  • Receives, sorts and places materials or items on      racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as      size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, requests for materials,      tools, or other stock items and distributes items to packing and shipping.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within      factory to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Uses computer to receive purchase orders and      responsible for accuracy of receiving in system.
  • Operates a forklift and pallet jack.
  • Assist other team members.
  • Ability to handle sharp knives and other items      continuously throughout the day.
  • Comply with all standard safety practices, safety      rules, and all Company rules and policies.
  • Regular attendance      is an essential function of this position.
  • All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must possess excellent math and counting skills.
  • Database management skills.
  • Analytical, multi-tasking and critical thinking      skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Must possess a sense of urgency, accountability,      and professionalism.
  • Able to work well independently and as a team. 
  • Must be self-starter able to multi-task and      prioritize workload.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-year experience within warehouse preferred.
