Job description

The MarTech Architect will design, build, and optimize our global marketing technology stack. You will be responsible for ensuring that our digital tools-ranging from Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) to Point-of-Sale (POS) integrations-work in harmony to drive personalized customer journeys, increase loyalty, and maximize ROI.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ecosystem Design: Architect a scalable, "best-of-breed" MarTech stack that supports omnichannel retail goals (e.g., Buy Online Pick Up In Store - BOPIS, personalized in-app offers).
  • Data Orchestration: Lead the integration of first-party data across CRMs (like Salesforce) , CDPs, and ERPs to create a 360-degree view of the customer.
  • Identity Resolution: Implement strategies to track and recognize customers across devices and physical touchpoints while maintaining strict data privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA).
  • Personalization & Automation: Design technical workflows for real-time triggers, such as abandoned cart recovery, location-based mobile alerts, and loyalty program updates.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors (e.g., ESP, CMS, Analytics, DAM) and manage the technical relationships and API integrations.
  • Performance Optimization: Audit existing tools to eliminate redundancies, reduce "tech debt," and ensure data flows seamlessly between marketing and commerce platforms.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Retail Expertise: 5+ years of experience in MarTech, specifically within a retail or e-commerce environment where physical and digital stores intersect.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical reference architectures .
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data Science, and Creative) to launch large-scale marketing initiatives.
  • Communication: A "translator" who can explain API limitations to a Marketing Director and business goals to a Software Engineer.
