Job description

Job Title: Marketing Insights Analyst (Residential) Location: Parsippany, New Jersey Type: Contract Compensation: $55 - $57 per hour Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote (4:1) Hours: 40 weekly Overview: We are seeking a Marketing Insights Analyst to support a Residential Insights team by planning and executing market research that connects customer needs to business decisions. In this role, you will independently build and program surveys in Qualtrics, develop research instruments (questionnaires and discussion guides), analyze results, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented researcher who can manage multiple projects at once and is comfortable owning the work end to end in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prescreen candidates for Qualtrics experience and add a summary of their experience at the top of their resume.
  • Ensure candidates can work independently with Qualtrics, including programming surveys, understanding key features such as display/skip logic, matrix questions, embedded data, and survey flow.
  • Program research surveys and create reports from Qualtrics survey results for presentation to stakeholders.
  • Develop questionnaires and discussion guides aligned with business needs.
  • Moderate focus groups and interviews, as well as execute unmoderated user experience testing.
  • Analyze research data and present actionable insights to project owners and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assist with customer insights engagements, including assessments, co-creation events, and focus groups.
  • Manage and maintain the Insights Knowledge Management platform, ensuring insights are shared organization-wide.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing research, user experience research, or management consulting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/MBA or higher, preferably in Statistics, Research, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Human Factors, HCI/CS, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of Qualtrics survey programming experience, with the ability to write concise survey questions and interpret results for presentations.
  • Experience with quantitative research methods such as survey design, sampling, crosstabs, and statistical concepts.
  • Proficiency with qualitative/user-centered design methods including interviews and usability testing.
  • Strong experience with marketing research tools including Qualtrics and Usertesting.com.
  • Ability to leverage AI to support research operations.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in the Building Materials industry or adjacent complex industries is a plus.
  • Excellent facilitation/moderation skills and stakeholder management.
  • Relevant certifications in Marketing Research, Customer Experience, or User Experience Research preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver insights effectively.
