Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Research Intern to join our team. This role will focus on generating leads and supporting business growth by researching potential new accounts and initiating contact through cold calling. As an integral part of the marketing and sales department, the intern will gain hands-on experience in lead generation strategies and sales techniques while contributing to the overall success of the team.


This is a part time, year-round position, current college business students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply as well as those looking for good part-time work including returnees. Phone and/or customer service experience a plus. 12 - 30 hours per week will be available. Must be available at least 2 days a week, between 9 am - 5:00 pm and shifts are generally 4 to 6 hours in length. This is a great opportunity to make money, build your resume and learn in a thriving business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential new accounts and business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a database of prospective clients, including contact information and relevant details.
  • Initiate outbound cold calls to introduce the companyโ€™s products and services, identify decision-makers, and establish relationships.
  • Qualify leads to determine their potential for further engagement by the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective outreach strategies.
  • Track and report on outreach progress, lead generation efforts, and outcomes.
  • Assist in updating CRM systems and maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
  • Support marketing campaigns and initiatives related to lead generation.
  • Provide input and reports on strategies to enhance lead conversion.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and confident phone demeanor.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities to identify and assess new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and lead generation tools is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable learning new software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a dynamic environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, telemarketing, or customer service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the military, tactical, or outdoor gear industries is advantageous.
