NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 3 days a week in our Walnut Creek, CA office.

The Marketing Program Specialist employs advanced marketing principles to develop marketing programs and execute tactics for paid online channels.  Works on projects of moderate to complex scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Receives general instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments. Responsible for developing strong relationships with agencies or third-parties to produce high quality creative or other deliverables (following guidelines) that can be approved by management.

Essential Functions
• Design and manage marketing and/or advertising programs to meet digital marketing objectives
• Write and gain approval of complex marketing briefs
• Identify trends and findings to improve future program performance.  Conduct ongoing program testing, e.g. A/B
• Work with internal and external business partners including leadership team members to develop complex multi-tiered communication plans
• Act as vendor and agency relationship owner
• Manage budgets for multiple programs which are complex in nature. Manage monthly budget reforecast and variance explanations
• Manage ad-hoc projects

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Advanced and demonstrated knowledge of functional marketing principles, concepts, techniques and applications
• Ability to achieve business goals by applying strong judgment, creativity and technical know-how to program management
• Ability to create programs that are aligned to key NCNU strategy
• Ability to implement direct response programs
• Visual, verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing
• Ability to create, present and deliver clear and compelling presentations in a group setting
• Ability to collaborate and influence internal and external business partners to resolve issues, gain needed information and influence outcomes (preferred)
• Ability to analyze, interpret and/or compare multiple campaign results and trends to identify key learnings (preferred)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Advanced Degree preferred
•  3-5 years experience with digital paid campaigns
• Direct Marketing Association Certification (preferred)
