Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Viscadia's marketing strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and growth.

  • Build, scale, and oversee the marketing infrastructure, workflows, and team to support strategic priorities.

  • Manage external partners and lead the global marketing team to ensure disciplined execution of campaigns, content, and events.

Job description

Viscadia is a leading consulting firm focused on forecasting for life sciences. We help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies make high-stakes decisions with greater clarity and confidence, with teams across the United States, Europe, and India. We are deeply committed to a vision of shared growth and success for our clients, colleagues, and communities.

About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing Director to drive this critical function and help shape Viscadiaโ€™s next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, this individual will oversee a global marketing team and serve as a key member of the leadership team.

This role sits at a unique inflection point. Foundational infrastructure, workflows, and a team are already in place, along with clear strategic priorities for 2026, including continued evolution of our brand identity, execution of our first in-house forecasting event, and expansion of our market presence.

We are looking for a builder who can accelerate and elevate what has already been established. This means leaning into existing systems and momentum while identifying where to refine, scale, and push the function forward. The right leader will bring both respect for whatโ€™s been built and the vision to take it to the next level.

Location

Arlington, VA (in-office 4 days/week)

Why consider Viscadia as your next career step?

Since our founding in 2010, Viscadia has grown from a startup to a global team that works alongside the companies shaping life sciences. We are dedicated to promoting a positive and supportive work environment where everyone can thrive. Our culture is collaborative by design, with teams across three regions operating as one. We are looking for people who want to grow with us and are excited to help shape what comes next.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • The Marketing Leader is responsible for developing and executing Viscadiaโ€™s marketing strategy while strengthening and scaling the existing team and infrastructure.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, omni-channel marketing strategy that drives awareness, engagement, and growth
  • Build a strong understanding of Viscadiaโ€™s consulting work, clients, and the life sciences landscape; translate complex offerings into clear, compelling messaging
  • Partner with leadership to refine positioning and differentiation in a competitive, specialized market
  • Translate complex, analytics-driven consulting work into clear, differentiated messaging that resonates within the life sciences and healthcare ecosystem
  • Partner with Principals and Associate Principals to support client engagement strategies from initial interaction through engagement completion
  • Align marketing efforts with business development priorities to drive measurable impact
  • Build on and scale existing marketing infrastructure, including structured workflows and project management through Monday.com
  • Drive forward established 2026 priorities, ensuring strong execution and measurable impact across key initiatives such as brand evolution and Viscadiaโ€™s first in-house forecasting event
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, increase efficiency, and elevate output without disrupting momentum
  • Ensure disciplined execution across campaigns, content, conferences, and digital channels
  • Oversee corporate communications, including press releases, thought leadership, and social media
  • Lead Viscadiaโ€™s presence at key national and international conferences
  • Manage external partners, including agencies and vendors, to deliver high-quality outcomes within budget
  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing global marketing team, including an established team in India and the U.S.
  • Build on an existing strong foundation by fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Operate as a champion for the team, creating clarity, trust, and empowerment rather than control-based management
  • Define and evolve the marketing team structure to support future growth
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; Masterโ€™s degree (MBA or MA/MS in Marketing or related field) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership or agency account management roles, with at least 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility
  • Experience in life sciences, healthcare, consulting, or a similarly complex, fast-paced industry preferred
  • Experience stepping into an existing function with defined priorities and successfully building on established momentum
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot
  • Demonstrated ability or strong interest in quickly learning and operating within a highly specialized domain
  • Proven success executing omni-channel marketing programs (digital, conferences, content, SEO, etc.)
  • Experience working within structured marketing operations and project management systems (e.g., Monday.com or similar platforms)
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of building, developing, and empowering teams
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority l
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset, with experience using KPIs and dashboards to drive decisions
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel
  • Your voice matters here; you will have direct access to leadership and real influence on business outcomes.
  • Viscadia embraces a People First philosophy for all its processes and policies. This entails three core principles: empathy, genuine care, and shared success. We believe that a positive employee experience spreads outward.
  • We understand the power of having a strong vision for a brighter future. We invest our time, energy, and resources in supporting the right causes and making our world a better place.
  • Quality of life is incredibly important, especially when you work in a highly competitive growth industry. We are dedicated to promoting positive and supportive work environments.
