What you'll do
The Market Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the healthcare organization's strategic growth initiatives by consolidating, analyzing, and interpreting both first-party and third-party data. This position will generate meaningful insights that drive decision-making across service line development, network expansion, patient acquisition, and market positioning. The Market Analyst will collaborate closely with the Strategic Growth, Marketing, and Clinical Operations teams to deliver clear, actionable recommendations that align with organizational goals.
Essential Job Functions
Data Consolidation & Analysis
  • Gather, validate, and integrate first-party data (EHR, CRM, operational dashboards, referral patterns, scheduling/access metrics) and third-party data (market forecasts, claims
  • data, demographic projections, competitive intelligence).
  • Analyze trends in patient behavior, provider utilization, competitive landscape, payer mix, and market demand across service lines.
  • Build models, dashboards, and reports that quantify market opportunity, risk, and performance.

Insight Generation & Recommendations
  • Translate complex data sets into concise, audience-appropriate insights for executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Provide recommendations on growth strategies, such as new sites of care, specialty
  • expansion, access improvements, and marketing priorities.
  • Support business cases for strategic initiatives through market sizing, forecasting, and scenario modeling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with members of the Strategic Growth, Marketing, Clinical Operations, and Finance teams to align data needs and ensure consistency across the organization.
  • Partner with marketing to evaluate campaign performance, identify target populations, and optimize outreach efforts.
  • Provide clinical teams with operational and market insights to support care delivery and service line planning.

Reporting & Visualization
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations using analytics tools (e.g., Qlikview, Excel).
  • Present findings to senior leaders in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Ensure timely delivery of recurring and ad-hoc reports.

What we need from you
Education:
  • 4 year/Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Data Analytics or related field, required

Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in market analysis, business analytics, healthcare strategy, or a similar role, required
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools, required
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, actionable insights, required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, required
  • Experience with healthcare datasets (claims, demographic datasets, EMR/EHR data, payor analytics), preferred
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, preferred
  • Prior experience in a hospital system, physician group, or healthcare consulting setting, preferred

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $63,971.86/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $95,957.79/Yr.
