ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The analyst is responsible for maintaining and producing fundamental supply and demand analysis for the assigned commodity while providing ongoing research developments and commentary to clients. The analyst is expected to be a team player, contribute to ongoing conversations, and willing to take on extra duties when other team members are absent. Commodities covered in the crops/livestock team include: (corn, soybeans, wheat, hogs, cattle and dairy).

Analysts convey research results through a variety of channels including: internal meetings, written reports, (daily and weekly), in-person presentations, and client calls and videos.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience conducting economic and market research
  • Knowledge of futures and cash markets
  • BS Agricultural Economics, Economics, or related field, MS a plus
  • Five plus years of industry experience
  • Series 3 license preferred
  • Ability to facilitate small group presentations is a plus
  • A passion for commodity markets and how they operate
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to learn
  • Commitment to teamwork
  • Excellent MS Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint skills
