Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Regional Director of Northern Nevada, the Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the Regional Director of Northern Nevada in the management of the Outlets (including salvage), Retail Stores, Donation Xpress sites, NDI/Hazardous Waste, Facilities Maintenance, Transportation and all Retail Stores within the assigned region.
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and 403(b) retirement plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
  • Assists the Regional Director of Northern Nevada in the management of Donation Xpress Sites within an assigned region.
  • Responsible for the hiring, evaluation, growth and discipline of direct reports.
  • Ensure all ACC employees have completed proper training, including but not limited to safety and equipment used in the operation of an ACC.
  • Responds to alarm events in the ACC Division and contacts appropriate authority when necessary.
  • Acts as liaison between organization and ACC property managers as necessary.
  • Ensures proper proactive and reactive maintenance is occurring at all ACC locations
  • Works in conjunction with the Regional Director of Northern Nevada to coordinate activities between the Transportation Department, ACC and the Retail Stores to safely and efficiently meet the needs of all entities.
  • Coordinates the daily Facilities work orders and follow-up of all work orders through completion in AMT.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the schedules between the Outlets and the Salvage Vendors. Prepare, enter and upload receipts into the Salvage Database.
  • Assists the Regional Director of Northern Nevada in the compliance and maintenance of the NDI Program.
  • Maintains accurate files for ACC, Transportation, Facilities, Salvage and NDI.
  • Orders and maintains inventory for ACC, Transportation, Facilities, Salvage and NDI.
  • Prepares and maintains all necessary reports and records in conjunction with the daily operations.
  • Ensures all documents and records (electronic or hard copy) are audited, organized, filed accurately and retained for regulated periods of times.
  • Ensures adherence to all Goodwill safety, accident-prevention standards, methods and procedures.
  • Assist in emergency situations to open and close Retail Stores or Donation Xpress Sites within the assigned Region.
  • Assist Regional Director, Northern Nevada with Special Projects at Retail Stores within the assigned Region.
  • Accurately input New Good Products into Database.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Basic Qualifications of the Role:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership experience in business management preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure their completion in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word required.
  • Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel to Goodwill stores, Donation Xpress sites, offices and other locations.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation that does not interfere with performing the essential functions of the job description, cause tardiness, or unexcused absences.
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a drug screening and maintain compliance with the organization's drug and alcohol policy.
  • Must pass a background screening and maintain compliance with the organizations associated polices.
  • Must not have record or disclosure of criminal conviction that indicates an ongoing tendency toward theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior.
  • Must not present a direct threat of safety and health to self, others or property.
