About Us

Polymer Contours, Inc. is a rapidly growing custom injection molding company specializing in engineered plastic components, automation-driven manufacturing, and full-service production support. What started as a two-machine operation has grown into a fully automated manufacturing facility serving customers across medical, warehouse automation, industrial, consumer, and specialty markets.


We are looking for a driven, hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to help lead and strengthen our operational engine as we continue scaling. This is not a corporate desk job. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems in real time, and wants the opportunity to make a major impact inside a growing company.


Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations including production, staffing, scheduling, process execution, quality, maintenance coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for helping drive efficiency, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the facility.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, mechanically inclined, capable of leading people, and comfortable making decisions in a production environment.


Responsibilities

Operations & Production

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations and production flow
  • Coordinate machine scheduling, staffing, and production priorities
  • Monitor productivity, downtime, scrap, and efficiency metrics
  • Help ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with setup technicians, material handlers, operators, and quality personnel
  • Assist with troubleshooting production and process-related issues


Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop production team members
  • Help create a culture of accountability, urgency, and teamwork
  • Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals clearly
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development
  • Maintain high standards for attendance, performance, and professionalism


Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Support quality systems and process control initiatives
  • Help implement and maintain standardized procedures and documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency gains
  • Support preventive maintenance systems and equipment uptime initiatives
  • Assist with ISO 9001-related operational improvements and compliance efforts


Administrative & ERP Support

  • Monitor work orders, inventory flow, and production reporting
  • Coordinate with purchasing, scheduling, and shipping departments
  • Help maintain accurate production data and operational records
  • Support ERP operational integration efforts


Qualifications

  • Manufacturing leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 5 Years Injection molding experience required
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving ability
  • Experience with automation, robotics, or process-driven manufacturing is a plus
  • Familiarity with production scheduling, KPIs, scrap reduction, and efficiency tracking
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining professionalism
  • Willingness to be hands-on and present on the production floor daily
