Job Description Summary
Unison, a GE Aerospace company, is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments. Serving both original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, Unison designs, manufactures and supplies the most advanced components and systems in the world.
The Lead Process Manufacturing Engineer will lead the manufacturing development of NPI (New Product Introduction) and NTI (New Technology Introduction). You will ensure that design for manufacturing (DFM) remains a priority throughout the product development cycle. You will provide feedback and direction to collaborative teams, resolve manufacturing challenges, and deliver documentation, tooling, and training to enable efficient production in a clean and safe manufacturing environment. You will work with relevant functional teams, and ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives are met. This individual will be self-directed and hands-on with capability to manage multiple tasks within a day and prioritize short term needs requiring immediate attention.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Act as the manufacturing process owner for new products from concept, through prototypes and into production.
  • Lead build of prototypes and engineering development units to validate manufacturability and refine processes.
  • Lead or support PPAP/FAI packages for new products, including control plans, capability data, and process documentation.
  • Lead PFMEAs for new processes, identifying risks and implementing preventive controls and mistake-proofing (poka-yoke).
  • Capture and share NPD lessons learned, feeding back into design guidelines, process standards, and future NPD projects.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and tooling for NPD manufacturing lines or cells.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience) + Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience

Desired Characteristics & Experience:
  • Associates degree with 6 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

The base pay range for this position is $87,000 - $116,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 10th, 2026
