As a managing editor, your job duties include generating story ideas, scheduling editorial topics, hiring and coaching a team of personnel, and reporting to the editor-in-chief. The career typically requires at least a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field and extensive experience in writing, editing, or reporting. Additional qualifications include excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organization skills, along with prior management experience.

How does a managing editor typically collaborate with writers and other editorial staff to ensure content quality and consistency?
