Job description

The Videographer/Video Editor is a creative and technically skilled professional responsible for capturing, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports AAAE’s mission to educate, engage, and inform airport professionals. This role combines field video production with post-production expertise to produce compelling content for educational programs, events, promotional campaigns, and member communications.

The Videographer/Video Editor will work collaboratively with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to ensure video projects meet AAAE’s quality standards, brand guidelines, and strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities

Video Production

  • Plan, shoot, and capture high-quality video for training modules, interviews, conferences, events, and promotional campaigns
  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure professional-quality results
  • Collaborate on script development, shot lists, and storyboards to achieve project objectives

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging final videos that align with AAAE’s brand and messaging
  • Add motion graphics, titles, music, voiceovers, and captions as needed
  • Perform color correction, audio mixing, and other finishing tasks to ensure a consistent and professional look

Project Coordination & Workflow

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality expectations are met
  • Organize, archive, and maintain video files and media assets
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to schedule shoots and meet production needs

Innovation & Quality Improvement

  • Stay up to date with video production trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Recommend new tools, techniques, or formats to enhance AAAE’s video offerings
  • Ensure all video content is accessible, inclusive, and optimized for various platforms

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the communications, marketing, training, and events teams to align video projects with AAAE priorities
  • Clearly communicate project progress, needs, and timelines with stakeholders
  • Provide guidance or support for other video or multimedia projects as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience in video production and editing, preferably in an association, nonprofit, or aviation/transportation environment
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition) and other relevant editing tools
  • Skilled in camera operation, lighting, and audio recording for professional video production
  • Strong storytelling and visual communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, multimedia, communications, or a related field preferred
