About the Role
Oversee the design, configuration, and deployment of company data networks, ensuring the efficient operation of network systems, maximizing performance, and minimizing downtime. The manager is responsible for diagnosing and resolving network issues, coordinating network access and usage, and researching new technologies to continually improve the network infrastructure.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain network solutions that provide core infrastructure, integrate with services and systems running in virtual, private, and public cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure that the network infrastructure is robust, secure, and capable of supporting the organization's needs.
  • Communicate with the team to identify needs, monitor performance, and diagnose and resolve issues with network and systems.
  • Provide project management for various network activities, including upgrades, implementations, and migrations, offering technical direction and user support as needed.
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation of the environment and operational procedures.
  • Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions.
  • Partners with teams within the organization to resolve issues and work on future enhancements.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Provides constructive and timely performance reviews. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in designing, configuring, and deploying network systems.
  • Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, other departments, and senior management.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and supervise a team of network professionals, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Familiarity with various networking technologies and tools, such as routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, Cloud, and network monitoring tools.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, or equivalent degree or experience preferred.
  • Previous project management experience working on complex and multifaceted implementations preferred.
  • Extensive experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, supporting, administering, design and planning in LAN/WAN/Cloud environments required.
  • Current valid industry certification or any additional industry recognized certifications preferred.
