Service/ Data Automation Clerk
Full-Time | Onsite | Las Vegas, NV
Join a mission-driven team supporting service members and their families during critical transition moments. The Service/Data Automation Clerk provides front-line customer service, administrative, and data management support for the Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This role ensures accurate enrollment, scheduling, reporting, and coordination of services while maintaining compliance with agency policies and confidentiality standards.ย 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service & Program Support
  • Conduct initial interviews and screening of customers to assess administrative and transition needs.
  • Determine eligibility for TAP workshops and schedule participants accordingly.
  • Refer customers to appropriate counselors or staff as needed.
  • Provide professional front-desk and telephone reception services.
  • Maintain a positive, professional image and working relationships with customers and staff.
Administrative & Clerical Support
  • Enroll eligible military and civilian personnel into workshops using AFFIRST.
  • Input, update, and maintain customer records in AFFIRST while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Prepare, distribute, and respond to official correspondence within required timeframes.
  • Initiate and process administrative paperwork related to TAP services.
  • Schedule appointments, workshops, classrooms, and conference rooms.
  • Assist with workshop reminders, calendars, reports, and related program documentation.
  • Produce reports, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, inventories, and other required documents.
  • Perform general clerical duties including filing, copying, mail distribution, and document preparation.
Data & Systems Support
  • Maintain and update AFFIRST workshop schedules and records.
  • Accurately submit required documentation for administrative actions within AFFIRST.
  • Complete required training to maintain access to systems and perform TAP administrative duties.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications and agency office automation standards to produce accurate work products.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:ย 
Education:ย High School diploma or equivalent required.ย 
Experience:ย Minimum of two (2) years of office or administrative experience in a government or commercial setting with demonstrated customer service experience with a professional, service-oriented approach.ย 
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess and maintain aย REAL ID compliant form of identification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of AFFIRST and Air Force office automation standards (or ability to learn).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prepare and manage correspondence, reports, memos, and forms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
