Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Director, Distribution North America, the Distribution Sales Manager, North America is responsible for executing the regional distribution sales strategy.
This role leads and develops the sales team, drives revenue growth, market penetration, and customer engagement across the distribution channel, and ensures disciplined execution of pricing, programs, and channel priorities. This role is accountable for translating strategy into execution through direct leadership of regional sales teams and key accounts.
As part of the Sales team, this leadership role is responsible for achieving revenue targets and building a high-performing, execution-focused sales organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of distribution sales within the assigned market, aligned with North American strategy.
  • Responsible for leading OEM and key national accounts.
  • Translate North American objectives into clear regional targets, priorities, and action plans.
  • Identify market opportunities, competitive risks, and growth opportunities within the assigned market.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the North American distribution sales team, fostering a positive and safe work environment.
  • Support human capital processes related to hiring, performance management, and employee development.
  • Deliver national revenue, margin, and market share targets.
  • Establish and maintain consistent sales rhythms, including forecasting, pipeline reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure disciplined use of CRM, sales metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Execute pricing strategies in alignment with established frameworks in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Execute distributor strategy, including segmentation, coverage models, and engagement plans.
  • Ensure consistent value messaging and execution across all distributor channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders on demand generation, campaigns, and brand positioning.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience
  • Education in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Previous experience in distribution-based, B2B, industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Previous experience in a sales leadership or similar role preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales software and tools preferred.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required.
  • Negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Familiarity with the HVAC industry is an asset.
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Previous experience with quality control and process improvement preferred.
  • Technical skills required for computers and tablets.
  • Able to work proficiently in a team-oriented setting, as well as independently.

Job Conditions
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
  • Moderate physical effort - may require access to mechanical rooms, rooftops, car parks, and AHU installations, when required.
  • Sitting, walking, lifting, squatting, pushing, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.

Work Environment:
  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
  • Remote with regular travel (25-40%) across North America for factory visits, customer sites, training, and meetings.
