Frank Beer Distributors in Middleton, WI is now hiring an Area Sales Manager. The team members of Frank Beer Distributors are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers. 


The Area Sales Manager works directly with sales representatives and retailers to grow sales, and expand product placement in on- or off-premise channels in assigned territories.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and support sales representatives to achieve distribution, revenue, merchandising, and promotional goals. 
  • Monitor sales execution including product placement, pricing, displays, POS, stock rotation, customer service, and account performance. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to grow brand presence and sales. 
  • Work directly with key on- and off-premise accounts to secure new distribution opportunities and expand market share. 
  • Conduct sales meetings, trainings, and product presentations while providing ongoing performance feedback and development. 
  • Collaborate with brand managers and supplier representatives to execute promotions, features, merchandising plans, and sales initiatives. 
  • Analyze sales trends, competitive activity, and account performance to identify opportunities and address gaps. 
  • Communicate promotions, priorities, and sales strategies consistently with teams and stakeholders. 
  • Support route coverage, special projects, events, tastings, samplings, and other sales activities as needed. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal alcohol distribution regulations. 

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. 
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities. 
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, merchandising, promotions, and account management. 
  • Ability to analyze sales performance, identify opportunities, and drive results. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient computer and reporting skills, including Microsoft Office and industry-related software. 
  • Understanding of the beverage industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, retailers, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills. 
  • Knowledge of state and federal alcohol distribution regulations and compliance standards. 
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-driven with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • 3+ years of beverage industry and/or sales experience preferred. 
  • Previous leadership, management, or team coaching experience preferred. 
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or alcohol beverage sales preferred. 
  • Strong communication, organizational, presentation, and relationship-building skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficient computer and reporting skills; eoStar experience preferred. 
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to maintain required liquor sales permits. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
