Job description

Remote sales opportunity for SE Regional Sales Manager (can live anywhere in the SE Region), is responsible for driving profitable sales growth across an assigned territory through effective leadership of sales personnel, strategic management of distributor relationships, and direct engagement with key end users. This role develops and executes regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives while identifying competitive opportunities against key industry players such as Graphic Packaging, Pactiv Evergreen, and Dart Container. The position requires a strong consultative selling approach, operational discipline, and the ability to translate market insights into actionable business plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop regional sales team to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability targets.

Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing sales talent aligned with company culture and goals.

Establish clear sales objectives and performance metrics; monitor progress and drive accountability.

Manage and strengthen relationships with key distribution partners; implement joint business plans and growth initiatives.

Identify and prioritize high-value distributor and end-user opportunities to expand market share.

Execute regional sales and marketing strategies, including product launches and promotional programs.

Drive consultative selling practices focused on understanding customer operations and delivering value-added solutions.

Analyze regional market trends, competitive activity (including Graphic Packaging, Pactiv, Dart), and customer needs to inform strategy.

Develop accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business reviews for leadership.

Support contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and trade spend optimization to maximize profitability.

Resolve customer, distributor, and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to support business objectives.

Ensure effective use of CRM and sales tools to track activity, manage accounts, and drive insights.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and influence others.

Demonstrated success in B2B sales, preferably within foodservice, packaging, or related industries.Deep understanding of distributor networks and end-user sales dynamics.
Ability to analyze market data and competitive positioning to drive strategic decisions.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proven consultative selling and closing abilities.
