Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and program malfunctions in automated systems, machinery, and stamping presses.

  • Assess and prioritize work requests, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure materials and job specifications are met.

  • Assign and monitor maintenance team members, communicate with supervisors, and serve as main contact for escalation of maintenance concerns.


Job description

  • Actively performing job duties as required in Maintenance Technician position
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and program malfunctions in automated systems, automated machinery and stamping presses
  • Modify existing production work cells to improve quality, productivity and ergonomics
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Assesses and prioritizes work requests and ensures material required for the work is available
  • Follows up on work orders to ensure job specifications (quality and quantity) and time lines are met
  • Coordinate regular preventative maintenance on daily equipment and facility
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Supervisorโ€™s throughout the shift to understand prioritization of Maintenance calls throughout the shift
  • Understand strengths of each Maintenance team member to be able to adequately assign team members to Maintenance calls
  • Monitor team members progress throughout the shift
  • Ensure all employees are working together in an effective and cooperative manner to complete job requirements as quickly and completely as possible per work instructions and standard work
  • Main contact for escalation of Maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager and/ or General Manager
  • Perform pass down meeting with next shift and daily report to Maintenance Manager
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Ensure the application of all Flex-N-Gateโ€™s safety policies and procedures
  • Provide necessary training and instruction to others
  • Maintains a positive and cooperative attitude throughout the workday
  • Assist with completing reports for all safety issues, work place injuries and environmental incidents immediately upon notification
