Job description

Description

    Central Life Sciences is searching for a Maintenance Team Leader in our Council Bluffs, IA location. The Maintenance Team Leader will direct the work activities of plant maintenance personnel by delegating work based on manufacturing priorities as set by Group Manager, Production and Equipment Maintenance.  The role will utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to schedule and track maintenance activities such as preventive maintenance, repairs and work requests and inspect maintenance work for completion and correctness. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Directs the work activities of plant maintenance personnel, including themselves.  Prioritizes work orders and ensures timely completion.
     
    • Ensures that all direct reports are maintaining an accurate accounting of their time spent on production lines and elsewhere.  Submit reports of time allocation to Manufacturing Analyst. 
     
    • Responsible for attendance policy adherence as well as making sure employees arrive to work on time and properly attired.
     
    • Recommends personnel actions to the Plant Manager.
     
    • Actively engaged in Lean Manufacturing efforts (5S, TPM, SMED, Kaizen).  Adhere to cGMP compliance.
     
    • Involved in developing the budgets for all maintenance accounts.
     
    • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work areas are clean and meet safety requirements.  The Maintenance Team Leader will ensure that all direct reports have proper tools and that the tools are inventoried and cleaned on a quarterly basis.
     
    • Health, Safety, Environment/Quality - Assures operations conform to guidelines governing the administration of quality and health and safety practices.  In conjunction with the HS&E organization, assures that operations are in compliance with local, state, federal regulations, and Central Life Sciences guidelines.  Adhere to all non-negotiables such as lockout/tagout, arc flash, fall protection, and confined space.  Serve as a Champion for Safestart© and the safety committee.
    QUALIFICATIONS 
    • High School Diploma or GED 
    • 5 years prior maintenance experience is required. 
    • 3 years prior maintenance experience in a production setting is required. 
    • 1-ear prior maintenance supervisory or team leadership is preferred.
