About the job:

The Director Pharmacy leads all aspects of reporting and analysis of health plan drug utilization, and coordinates all contracted pharmacy related vendors including The Pharmacy Benefit Director. The Director Pharmacy will serve as member liaison for pharmaceutical issues and will be responsible for recommendations on formulary adjustments, oversight and for the pharmacy component of the annual bid process with CMS.

What you'll do:

  • Be knowledge of pharmaceutical industry terminology, program compliance, pharmacy pricing methodologies for both Part B and Part D agents, Effective Communication and Presentation Skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationship with providers, members, and MCHS leadership.
  • Knowledgeable on current treatment practices, with the ability to demonstrate continual learning related to new product and pharmaceutical developments, if degree is in pharmacy.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred. Relevant Post-grad or comparable years of experience desired. *** Prior experience in Managed Health Care Planning in lieu of Pharm D. with MBA , BSN or related education.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a health plan environment; population health practice &/or policy experience desirable. A minimum of 3 years health plan management experience is desired.
  • Valid pharmacist License in the state of Ohio (or capacity to complete within 3 months).
