We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Direct Mail Manager to lead and scale our direct mail marketing efforts. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and performance marketing, owning the end-to-end lifecycle of direct mail campaigns while driving measurable growth. You will oversee and elevate our existing direct mail operations while building a more sophisticated, data-driven program that connects collectors to the history, rarity, and significance behind each offering.


Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Own the vision and growth strategy for all direct mail campaigns
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive annual direct mail calendar
  • Identify opportunities to expand into new customer segments and acquisition channels
  • Build highly targeted campaigns based on customer behavior, purchase history, and collector interests
  • Continuously test and optimize offers, creative, and audience targeting

Campaign Ownership (End-to-End)

  • Plan, launch, and manage direct mail campaigns from concept through execution and reporting
  • Select campaign themes, products, and narratives that resonate with collectors
  • Ensure campaigns highlight the historical significance, rarity, and story behind each coin

Data Analysis & Performance Optimization

  • Analyze campaign performance and customer list effectiveness
  • Run and interpret reports to drive decision-making and improve ROI
  • Maintain accuracy of campaign and customer data within internal systems
  • Generate insights to refine targeting and increase customer engagement and lifetime value

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with the graphic design team to develop compelling creative and refine product imagery
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution
  • Partner with call center and customer service teams to align on campaign messaging and customer experience
  • Oversee coordination efforts and ensure all stakeholders are aligned throughout the campaign lifecycle

Operational Execution

  • Create and manage SKUs for direct mail products and campaigns
  • Enter and maintain campaign data within internal databases
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across systems and reporting
  • Manage timelines across multiple concurrent campaigns

Revenue Optimization

  • Develop and implement upsell and cross-sell strategies
  • Identify high-performing offers and scale them
  • Refine messaging to better communicate collectible appeal, rarity, and historical importance

AI & Marketing Innovation

  • Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to scale direct mail campaign creation, including dynamic and personalized postcard generation
  • Integrate direct mail with email and SMS campaigns to create cohesive, multi-channel customer journeys
  • Identify opportunities to automate segmentation, creative variations, and campaign deployment
  • Test and implement emerging technologies to improve efficiency, personalization, and campaign performance
  • Align messaging and timing across all customer touchpoints
Requirements:
  • 5-7+ years of experience in direct mail, performance marketing, or lifecycle marketing
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign reporting and optimization
  • Experience with customer segmentation and targeted marketing strategies
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and database management skills
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and/or AI tools is a strong plus
