This Mail Clerk is primarily responsible for performing a variety of mail-room duties to include: courthouse courier, copying, faxing, receptionist backup and processing mail. Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Review regularly courier documents to be processed. Organize and sort documents that need to be filed with the Courts.
  • File court documents to appropriate departments. Process complaints and A&P's. Request court files.
  • Visit daily, District Court Judges offices for confirmation of finished and approved files.
  • Assist all sections with various copying, packaging and mailing projects.
  • Deliver documents such as UCC filings, corporate docs, license applications, to the State office.
  • Deliver real estate documents to the Real Estate Paralegal(s).
  • Process copying requests daily.
  • Print and deliver received faxes to various legal staff and attorneys.
  • Process, sort and deliver mail to various departments daily.
  • Process overnight mail.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Experience utilizing computers and office equipment such as copiers and fax machines
  • Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Outlook email
  • Ability to prioritize and manage own workflow
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Prior experience working in a clerical support position or mail room
  • Ability to provide a valid driver license
  • Ability up to lift 50 lbs.
