Equipment Technician
Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills
  • 2-4 years: print, direct mail, Inserting, and/or fulfillment industry
  • 2 years: electronic and mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment

Responsibilities
  • The Equipment Technician ensures machines are running at peak efficiency through proper set-up, adjustment, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs
  • Perform a variety of standard and prescribed duties to set-up, operate, and maintain mail inserter equipment
  • Work from schedules, samples and instructions to set-up, run, and operate selective inserters
  • Coordinate with warehouse that adequate material is available for assigned jobs
  • Check output for quality, and make minor adjustments as required
  • Verify material for proper stock number/code against production order/sample
  • Conduct preventative maintenance; cleaning, checking and inspecting equipment
  • Train operators on basic machine operations and the solving of minor operation issues
