Position SummaryWhile working as a Mailing Operator, you will be tasked with fulfilling duties and performing tasks related to setting up and operating inkjet printers, inserters, preparing envelopes with correct shipping address, and entering jobs into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. The person in this position assists the Production department by ensuring internal quality standards and mail conforms to US postal regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Verify that items are addressed correctly, marked with the proper postage, and in suitable condition for processingSet up and operate all inkjet, inserters and labeling equipment and their corresponding softwareReview job orders to determine the type and size of items scheduled for printing and mailingPrepare finished jobs for the next mailing sequenceInspect mail machine output for defects and determine how to eliminate causes of any defectsPreform all minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of machinery as neededReview and inspect jobs to ensure mail conforms to US postal regulationsPrepare envelopes with items such as a shipping address, return address, labels, or stampsEnter finished jobs into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systemDriving a box truck to deliver mailRegular, reliable, and punctual attendanceOther duties as assignedNonessential Duties and Responsibilities Work on job assignments in other departments as instructed.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
