What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Mail Handler, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Mail Handler, you need physical stamina, attention to detail, and basic literacy skills, typically requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with mail sorting machinery, conveyor belts, and barcode scanning systems is often necessary. These skills are crucial for maintaining accurate mail processing and timely delivery in a fast-paced postal environment.

What are some common challenges Mail Handlers face during peak mailing seasons?

What are mail handlers?

Mail handlers are employees who work within postal facilities to process, sort, and move mail and packages. Their responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, operating sorting machinery, and ensuring mail is correctly routed for delivery.
