Job description

MATERIAL HANDLER
Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking a Material Handler, who will assist Lettershop Operators in our production department.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of material movement equipment.
  • Ability to efficiently operate computerized inventory systems.
  • Efficient and effective handling of finished product/mail while tracking and storing.
  • Safe and well-organized loading of materials into machines.
  • Order and return material to and from the warehouse.
  • Assist coworkers in other areas for the overall success of the entire production department.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
  • Basic computer and communication skills are required.
  • Pallet Jack experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, occasionally more than 50 lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, and pulling.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willing to work overtime as it is needed.

This is a full-time position. Day shift available.
Core day shift hours are three days a week 6:00am - 7:30pm
