Job description

Simple Global specializes in providing integrated warehousing, fulfillment, contract logistics, trucking, and freight management solutions. We partner with businesses in industries such as automotive, chemical, food & beverage, and consumer products to streamline operations and reduce costs. With state-of-the-art technology and strategically located facilities, we support a range of services including FIFO-compliant storage, kitting, repacking, quality sorting, and ecommerce fulfillment. Our mission is to transform supply chains into a competitive advantage domestically and internationally.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager, based in Romulus, MI. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through a combination of inbound lead conversion and proactive business development.

The Sales Manager will own the full sales cycle, including identifying and developing new business opportunities, qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and closing deals. This includes responding to inbound organic leads (SEO, website inquiries) as well as actively prospecting new clients across key industries such as ecommerce, automotive, industrial, and consumer products.

The role requires a strong understanding of 3PL warehouse operations and the ability to sell integrated logistics solutions, including warehousing, fulfillment, and transportation services. The Sales Manager will collaborate closely with operations teams to structure profitable solutions and ensure successful implementation.

Additional responsibilities include managing and growing client accounts post-sale, identifying opportunities for crossโ€‘selling transportation services (FTL, LTL, drayage, dedicated trucking), maintaining a strong sales pipeline, meeting revenue targets, and conducting regular reporting and market analysis to support continued growth.

Qualifications
  • Proven sales experience, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in 3PL warehousing and logistics sales (required)
  • Strong understanding of warehousing operations, including storage models, fulfillment processes, and cost drivers
  • Experience selling integrated logistics solutions, including warehousing, fulfillment, and transportation services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead to close
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment
  • Strong client relationship management and communication skills, including presentation delivery
  • Ability to develop pricing strategies and structure profitable deals
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
  • Analytical skills with the ability to assess market data, forecast sales, and identify growth opportunities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field (required)
