Description
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for the overall operations of our Logistics Team including the creation and implementation of daily movement plans including receiving, movement between departments, picking/packing, shipping, and transfers between warehouses. The Logistics Manager will work with the Director of Operations to create an annual plan and budget and manage their department to achieve plan goals. This plan includes the Centrotherm logistics spend as well as warehouse and material handling team members. The individual will lead our Centrotherm Logistics Team reporting to our Director of Operations.
Job duties:
  • Develop an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by setting expectations, and communicating the company's goals or objectives
  • Lead the Logistics Team with a safety & quality first mindset while achieving safety and quality targets
  • Deploy and monitor KPIs such as quality, safety, fill rate, pick times, transportation costs, and days of inventory to identify areas for operational improvement
  • Work with internal departments like production, quality assurance, and planning in a collaborative manner to improve processes and efficiency and ensure the timely handling of goods
  • Manage our third-party logistics provider to ensure that rates and service levels meet contractual requirements
  • Develop and implement material movement plans to ensure that internal and external customers performance targets are achieved
  • Drive location and count accuracy through cycle counting and strong inventory control procedures
  • Handle inquiries or compliance issues related to shipping or transportation matters
  • Ensure that shipping documents are well kept, updated, and in compliance
  • Assist management in continuous improvement
  • Act as a constant communication link between management and employees.

Requirements
Experience and Requirements:
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of related logistic management experience required
  • Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Good communication, organizational, time management skills
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills required

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
