Job description

Position Summary
The Legal Intern will support the Legal Department with a variety of contract, litigation, and administrative functions. This role provides hands-on exposure to in-house legal operations, including contract management, basic commercial contract review and litigation support. This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume primary responsibility for contract administration function, including organizing, tracking, and maintaining contract records and databases
  • Develop contract reporting and analytics, including status tracking and periodic reporting updates to stakeholders
  • Responsible for handling inquiries from the business for contract information
  • Conduct initial RFP and contract review for certain contracts, including issue spotting and basic redlining, under close attorney supervision
  • Assist with other ad hoc legal and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Current law student (preferred) or undergraduate with demonstrated interest in legal studies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (and specifically in Excel)
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or contract management systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Copilot is a plus
  • Prior experience in commercial contract terms preferred but not required

Schedule & Duration
Part-time: Not to exceed 20 hours per week (flexible schedule based on academic commitments). Looking for a hire immediately with a preference toward candidates that can continue to intern during the academic year.

Location
In-person at UG2's Boston headquarters at the Prudential Center, or occasionally from its satellite office in Framingham, MA, if preferred.
