Job description

Buffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our fast-growing team! You will have the opportunity to be mentored by a former Supreme Court Justice and State Senator!

This position will consist mostly of drafting legal documents and other clerical work. General Counsel will handle most court work and appearances.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft settlements, default judgements, summons and complaints, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of all legal activities and communications.
  • Limited court work based on necessity.

Qualifications:

  • Permitted to practice law in New York State
  • Must be admitted to NYS Bar Association (Dealbreaker)
  • At least 2 years of legal drafting experience (Dealbreaker)
  • Fluent understanding of electronic filing via NYSCEF
  • Excellent LexisNexis skills
  • Strong legal writer
  • Familiarity with legal administrative processes and procedures
  • Ability to work independently

This role requires onsite work from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Our offices are located at 17 Court Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.
