Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technical Drafter / CAD Lead to join our dynamic team in Ball Ground, GA. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CAD design and technical drafting to lead projects and mentor junior drafters. If you're passionate about precision, creativity, and collaboration, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Lead the CAD drafting team in the creation of detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Review and approve drafts produced by junior drafters, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain and update CAD standards and best practices to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas to improve product designs.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members on CAD software and drafting techniques.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical drafting and CAD design, with a focus on Millwork and Metal
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and mentor others.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Requirements: 5+ years of drafting experience, strong knowledge of commercial construction, advanced skills in AutoCAD and Microvellum. Innergy experience is a plus.

Leadership experience and a strong understanding of fabrication practices are required.
