AutoCAD Drafter – Turn Architectural Concepts into Precision Stone Fabrication Drawings


Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will transform intricate architectural designs into flawless, production-ready shop drawings for high-end custom stone installations. This role gives you the opportunity to solve complex structural challenges and directly influence the craftsmanship of luxury retail and high-end residential spaces. You will serve as the technical link between raw design intent and precise field execution.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Utilize AutoCAD to design comprehensive shop drawings, anchor details, and fabrication tickets.
  • Interpret complex architectural blueprints and structural notes to verify dimension relationships.
  • Collaborate with project managers to log and track incoming and outgoing project drawings.
  • Review revised architectural submittals to identify any changes affecting scope or pricing.
  • Travel to local jobsites occasionally to assist field personnel with layout measurements.
  • Deliver precise, production-ready documents that minimize material waste during stone fabrication.
  • Resolve drafting inconsistencies by generating clear, concise Requests for Information (RFIs).


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven professional drafting proficiency using AutoCAD within a construction or manufacturing field.
  • Strong capability to read and precisely interpret blueprints, transmittals, and architectural plans.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of geometric mathematical concepts and square footage calculations.
  • Experience managing drafting administrative duties including drawing logs, submittals, and RFIs.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 3 or more years of related technical drafting experience in stone or a similar custom industry.
  • Basic AutoCAD certificate or equivalent formal technical drafting credential.
  • Prior experience conducting on-site field measurements.
