We are searching for an experienced CV engineer to join our team. The right candidate will also have a shop background in custom cabinetry and millwork for high-end homes. In this role, you'll translate design intent into clear, buildable shop drawings while managing details that ensure projects flow smoothly from concept design through installation.
This is an IN-PERSON position. Work location: Laguna Hills, California.

Responsibilities

  • Use Cabinet Vision software to create detailed technical drawings and blueprints for custom woodwork, cabinetry, and architectural millwork.
  • Translate interior design and architectural concepts into accurate shop drawings.
  • Create production-ready data that requires no interpretation or guesswork.
  • Generate cut lists, nest layouts, CNC G-code, shop drawings, and other items as assigned with clarity and precision.
  • Prepare machine-ready files with full awareness of material yield, tooling, and constraints.
  • Revise drawings as needed and correct design issues before they hit the floor.
  • Ensure files flow smoothly into CNC operations and materials are optimized.
  • Maintain organized design files that are clear, complete, and easy to run.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure field fit and finish.
  • Track drawing deadlines and ensure accurate documentation.
Minimum Required Experience
  • Strong technical drafting skills
  • Proficiency with CAD drafting software for cabinetry and architectural millwork (Mozaik, Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Knowledge of materials and methods used in cabinetry, millwork, and furniture manufacturing and installation.
  • CNC programming.
  • Photo-realistic 3D renderings- to aid in project presentations (preferred)
