As part of that continued growth and commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a Legal Assistant / Exception Specialist to join our team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor legal case inventory batches from placement through closure to ensure they meet client standards.

  • Track Firm performance against goals and identify inventory areas causing delays or issues.

  • Work with other department managers to address gaps in inventory movement.

  • Assist with file reviews and case status updates as directed.

  • Prepare and respond to reports related to client legal case inventory.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Legal Case Manager.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

  • Proficient with legal case management software.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (copy machine, fax, printer, scanner, computer).

  • Self-motivated and able to initiate communication with management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organization.

  • Comfortable working with databases and online technology platforms.

  • Strong data analysis skills.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal office setting.

  • Knowledge of legal processes, principles, and terminology.

  • Detail-oriented, diligent, and adaptable.

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong command of the English language, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work patiently and professionally with individuals of diverse backgrounds and professional levels.

  • Maintains confidentiality in a professional manner.
