Position Summary:
The Law Offices of Julian Sanders & Associates, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support our growing personal injury practice, with a primary focus on medical records management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate collection, tracking, and organization of medical documentation to support client case development and settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Request, follow up on, and obtain medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers.
  • Review and organize records for completeness, accuracy, and relevance to personal injury cases.
  • Prepare detailed medical summaries and chronologies for attorney and negotiator review.
  • Maintain updated case notes and documentation in the firm's client management system.
  • Communicate professionally with providers, insurance companies, and internal legal staff.
  • Draft and send correspondence related to medical records, bills, and liens.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all document handling.
  • Collaborate with case managers and attorneys to meet case deadlines and settlement preparation timelines.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a personal injury law firm or similar legal/medical records role preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, billing, and record review processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Needles, or similar).
