What we are hiring for:
New Land Property Management, LLP is hiring a LEASING SPECIALIST. The Leasing Specialist will focus on attracting new residents, providing tours of the properties and assisting with resident retention by promoting positive resident relations and helping to organize community events.
The Leasing Specialist serves as a professional member of the management team, assisting in customer service, long range strategic planning and ongoing problem solving. The Leasing Specialist assists the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager (if applicable) with operational and customer service issues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Reliable, produces accurate work, and meets deadlines
  • Physically able to perform the necessary duties
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate in a professional capacity; ability to communicate via telephone and electronic mail and text message
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Enjoys and takes pride in providing an unparalleled customer service experience--warm, friendly and helpful in person, over the phone and via email
  • Basic computer skills, Outlook, Word, Excel and experience with AppFolio or equivalent Property Management software encouraged
  • Ability to plan and prioritize
  • Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people
  • Prior property management or leasing experience greatly preferred; prior relevant hospitality/customer service/sales experience required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Becoming very knowledgeable on apartment communities and marketing individual features, amenities and the neighborhoods
  • Professionally answering questions from current and prospective renters about availability, pricing, amenities, or other concerns
  • Offering outstanding customer service to current and prospective residents
  • Conducting tours of apartments to prospective renters
  • Processing completed rental applications and drafting leases in accordance to Fair Housing Laws
  • Preparing welcome packets for new renters
  • Ensuring all lease documents for prospective residents are processed, entered accurately into our property management software
  • Conducting move in and move out inspections
  • Entering work orders for items that need attention
  • Working with the Maintenance Department to address maintenance concerns and to ensure units are ready for re-rental
  • Advertising upcoming vacancies accordingly on all online marketing sites
  • Making sure the vacancy report is accurate and up to date on a daily basis
  • Assisting the Property Manager to establish monthly leasing/occupancy goals
  • Conducting Market Studies

Compensation and Schedule:
  • You will be eligible for new lease and renewal commissions, in addition to the hourly rate. Our ever-growing portfolio offers plenty of opportunities for earning these commissions, as well as potential for growth within the company.
  • Employment type: Full-Time
  • Hours: Office hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-3pm on Saturdays. This position requires availability on weekdays and weekends; final schedule, including days off, to be determined with your supervisor.
