You will be instrumental in leveraging cutting-edge digital tools and processes to optimize design, enhance coordination and streamline construction, ensuring project excellence from conception to completion. What you will be doing
  • Lead the incorporation of VDC/BIM methodologies into our infrastructure projects, facilitating a shift from conventional approaches to advanced digital methods.
  • Collaborate closely with field construction units, ascertaining the real-world applicability, accuracy, and utility of VDC models and simulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize comprehensive 3D models for infrastructure projects, using these for simulations, design validation, constructability reviews, and sequencing.
  • Coordinates model development for quantify take-offs to support estimating, operations, and sustainability.
  • Set, refine, and uphold VDC/BIM standards, guaranteeing uniformity, efficiency, and quality in our projects.
  • Proactively use VDC tools to identify design and construction clashes, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve these issues in the design phase and prevent on-site complications.
  • Leads model hand-off and collaborates with owners to develop models for digital twin usage.
  • Collaborates with business development and preconstruction teams to develop 3D visualization and virtualization renderings, walkthroughs, simulations, prepares narratives for the proposals as the subject matter expert on digital build use cases and delivery.
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 10+ years' experience working in the digital build environment in the construction industry required.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, coordinating with diverse stakeholders, and driving digital transformation initiatives in a construction environment.
  • Experience working with Procore, Primavera P6, AutoCAD and Bluebeam required.
  • Recognized certifications in VDC, BIM, or relevant software tools are desirable.
  • Demonstrable expertise in major VDC/BIM software platforms, including but not limited to Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
  • In-depth understanding of the construction industry encompassing lifecycle phases, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with core project management concepts, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in creating, managing, and interpreting detailed 3D models for diverse infrastructure projects.
  • Able to lead scan to BIM development, sourcing, workflows, and technologies.
  • Knowledge and skill in technical writing for efficient and concise document control and presentations to all levels of the business.
  • Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles and regulatory codes required.
  • Ability to identify constructability, cost or schedule risks from alternative design drawings required.
