Job Summary:
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems across complex enterprise environments. This role focuses on sustaining mission-critical infrastructure, leading advanced troubleshooting efforts, and supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
Responsibilities:
• Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems
• Perform advanced Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
• Manage system operations, including monitoring, maintenance, and optimization
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems across enterprise environments
• Support HPC infrastructure, including high-speed networking (InfiniBand, Slingshot)
• Administer and troubleshoot storage solutions, including Lustre file systems and DDN Exascaler appliances
• Support TCP/IP networking and storage fabric environments
• Utilize automation and configuration tools (Salt, Ansible) to improve efficiency
• Maintain and enhance system monitoring and alerting (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance for complex system issues
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (5 additional years of experience may substitute)
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a System Administrator in similar environments
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
• Advanced experience with Linux systems, HPC environments, and networking (including storage fabrics)
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and performance tools (e.g., Ansible, Salt, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
• U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
• This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
