Job description

PURPOSE

The OT Network Administrator will support the Operations Division (Manufacturing and Warehousing) by managing the OT/IT infrastructure in throughout the manufacturing and warehouse distribution facilities.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assist with managing, maintaining, and supporting the OT/IT network infrastructure and related components
  • Act as liaison between the SMC Operational Division and IT teams
  • Review and recommend network-related hardware and software technologies, designs, and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, application, and system issues
  • Coordinate changes to IT processes & systems (examples, Active Directory, backups, firewalls, network switches, software applications, SQL servers, VMWare environment) to minimize operational impact
  • Support current and legacy computer systems in OT environment
  • Respond to equipment downtime issues in the plant and establish any required outside resources to assist in responding to issues quickly
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without interruption of production
  • Support a variety of technologies such as human-machine interfaces (HMI), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
  • Other duties as assigned



PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace
  • Carry a company-provided phone & participate in on-call rotation
  • General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas
  • Off-hours work and travel as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or relevant work experience
  • 1+ years of relevant related experience in a similar role
  • Basic understanding of ITSM Principles or ITIL4 Foundations certification
  • Must have proficient knowledge of operating systems, network systems, and IT architecture
  • Windows systems administration
  • Understanding of network threats and appropriate mitigation techniques
  • Experience Active Directory Group Policy
  • SaaS concepts and technologies (IDM, MFA, M365, ITSM)
  • Experience with MS SQL server
  • WAN/LAN concepts and technologies
  • DNS, IPAM, NTP administration
  • Firewall concepts and technologies
  • Experience with VMWare, vSphere environments
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
