At WSU Tech, we're redefining higher education through innovation, collaboration, and student success. We're looking for a creative and collaborative CBE Curriculum & Faculty Development Specialist to join our Academic Services team. In this role, you'll partner with faculty and academic leaders to design engaging, accessible, and high-quality competency-based curriculum that prepares students for success in today's workforce.

Compensation:$58,926.40/yr
What You'll Do
  • Design and develop competency-based curriculum aligned with course, program, and institutional outcomes.
  • Create engaging instructional materials including multimedia, interactive learning activities, assessments, infographics, and other educational resources.
  • Collaborate with faculty to build, revise, and enhance competency-based courses and learning pathways.
  • Coach and support faculty in implementing evidence-based teaching strategies and competency-based instructional models.
  • Develop and facilitate faculty workshops, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure curriculum meets quality standards, accessibility requirements, and instructional best practices.
  • Research and recommend innovative instructional design methods and technologies.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, training, adult education, or a related field.
  • Certified (or willing to obtain certification) in the following programs:
    • C-BEN Foundations: Powering a Skills-First Society with Competency-Based Approaches
    • C-BEN Certificate: Designing Competency-Based Learning Solutions for Adults
  • Teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of competency-based education (CBE) models and instructional best practices.
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Quality Matters certification, or the ability to obtain certification within two years of employment.
