Job Details
Job Summary:
The Temp - Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator operates as a dynamic hybrid between an administrator and a basic instructional designer for the QC Academy. This is an ideal stepping stone for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build their resume in corporate Learning & Development. Crucially, this role requires a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality; while you will gain hands-on experience leveraging AI and learning instructional design; a core component of this position is executing high-volume administrative workflows and training logistics. Working collaboratively alongside training Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from across the company, this role does not handle full Learning Management System (LMS) administration or the assignment of compliance learning paths. Instead, this position focuses heavily on ensuring front-end LMS data accuracy, driving training completion and accountability through automated reporting, coordinating day-to-day training sessions, and creatively converting legacy training materials into modern formats.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process Automation and L&D Administration:
  • Continuously evaluate current L&D administrative workflows and creatively apply AI solutions (e.g., Google Gemini, automated scripts, spreadsheet macros) to reduce manual data entry and streamline operations.
  • Serve as the initial gatekeeper for all new training requests submitted through the centralized Training Request Form, utilizing automated triage and documentation to forward requests to the appropriate SME.
  • Plan and coordinate training sessions including venues, materials, and resources.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by the department manager.

LMS Management and Data Integrity:
  • Update and maintain LMS content and report data, looking for opportunities to batch or automate repetitive system updates.
  • Systematically audit LMS data against sync data to ensure accurate user provisioning and compliance training assignments.
  • Resolve complex, recurring user provisioning errors, such as account duplication and erroneous group assignments.
  • Clean up and maintain the existing LMS content library, including fixing titles needing review dates and migrating legacy content formats.
  • Ensure accuracy of user data in order to support automated workflows for the distribution of mandatory progress and completion reports to managers, supervisors, and other necessary stakeholders.

L&D Asset Management:
  • Proactively manage the company's Learning and Development materials and resources are cataloged correctly in the company's central repositories to prevent the loss of intellectual property.
  • Own the technical compilation and formatting of training materials, creatively merging files and ensuring print-ready formats with accurate branding.
  • Update and maintain all New Hire Orientation (NHO) materials to reflect organizational, personnel, and legal requirement changes.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Creative Problem-Solving & Automation: Demonstrates forward-thinking ability to identify process bottlenecks and implement creative, tech-driven solutions.
  • AI & Tech Proficiency: Highly tech-savvy with proficient skills in MS Office, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), and practical experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini) for workflow automation and administrative efficiency.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and data analysis capabilities.
  • Organization & Detail: Highly organized with extreme attention to detail regarding document formatting, branding, and data integrity.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with performance metrics and continuous improvement processes.

Education and Experience:
  • Practical experience and technical ability are prioritized over a specific degree. Academic background in a technical, administrative, or Learning & Development role is welcome.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in systems management and administration is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in operational systems analysis, logistics, or transportation is preferred.
