Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company's Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. Astro Pak is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Learning & Development to design, build, and scale enterprise learning programs that strengthen technical capability, leadership development, and workforce readiness across the organization.

This role will lead the development of Astro Pak Academy—our enterprise learning platform focused on accelerating technician readiness, improving operational consistency, developing future leaders, and supporting long-term workforce growth.

This is a builder role for someone who can operate strategically while also executing in a fast-paced, field-based technical services environment.

What You'll Do

Build & Scale Astro Pak Academy

Lead the design and execution of Astro Pak's enterprise learning infrastructure, including:

  • Technician onboarding and new hire ramp programs
  • Technical skill progression and certification pathways
  • Advanced technical and operational training
  • Safety and compliance training initiatives
  • Leadership development programs for frontline and operational leaders
  • Career development pathways that support retention and internal mobility

Lead Technical Training Strategy

Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and field leaders to build practical, field-ready training programs that align with operational realities and business growth needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Standardizing technical curriculum, training materials, assessments, and facilitator guides
  • Supporting consistency across locations while maintaining field practicality
  • Collaborating with technical SMEs to ensure training accuracy and relevance
  • Aligning training capacity with recruiting and workforce planning forecasts
  • Supporting field-based trainers and operational leaders in program delivery
  • Driving continuous improvement across technical training processes

Build Leadership Capability Across the Organization

Design and implement leadership development programs for:

  • Project Leaders
  • Supervisors
  • Operations Managers
  • High-potential future leaders

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Technical Training, Talent Development, or Workforce Development
  • Experience in field-based or operational environments such as industrial services, manufacturing, construction, or technical services
  • Proven success in building technical training and leadership development programs
  • Strong instructional design, program management, and stakeholder partnership skills
  • Experience working closely with operational leaders and technical SMEs
  • Willingness to travel regularly to field locations
