Learning & Development Coordinator
The Learning and Development Coordinator is instrumental in advancing Devon Energy's learning and talent development strategy by delivering comprehensive logistical, administrative, and operational support to the L&D function. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective planning, implementation, and execution of development programs and enterprise-wide learning initiatives that strengthen employee capability and organizational effectiveness.
This position is located on-site at our headquarters in Houston, Texas. Monday-Thursday with Flex Fridays.
Learning Management System (LMS) Support
  • Configures and maintains programs, campaigns, and courses in the Workday LMS

  • Provides timely and accurate reporting on training activities recorded in the LMS: attendance, completion rates, and other key metrics to support the organization's measurement and reporting strategies

  • Addresses user issues and provides timely system support

  • Monitors data accuracy

Program Support
  • Assists in coordinating end-to-end learning programs, from scheduling to evaluation, to ensure seamless execution

  • Provides logistical support for virtual and live training sessions, workshops, and events

  • Serves as the point of contact for L&D communications

  • Manages and maintains content libraries, master L&D calendar, and print and digital L&D materials

  • Manages vendor partnerships - coordinates and administers contracts, service agreements, and vendor relationships for external training and development services

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in L&D or LMS administration

  • Prior Workday Learning experience preferred

  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently or collaboratively

  • Strong problem solver with ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and documentation

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including spelling and grammar

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.)

  • Experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in human resources, or a related field
Travel Requirements
Percent of Travel Required: 10%
