L&D Operations Specialist


Department: Learning & Development
Reports To: Manager of Learning & Development
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Training & Development Support Specialist provides essential operational, administrative, and logistical support to the Learning & Development function. This role manages key processes within the Learning Management System (LMS), supports the creation and translation of educational content for global teams, and coordinates new-hire orientation and onboarding experiences. The Specialist ensures accurate reporting and compliance tracking to support supervisors, Human Resources, and organizational training requirements.

Key Responsibilities:


Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

  • Perform administrative duties in the company's LMS, including user management, course assignments, tracking, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure timely updates to learning paths and compliance requirements.
  • Run, format, and distribute LMS reports to supervisors and Human Resources to monitor compliance with mandatory training.
  • Manage external training courses for outside nursing community who purchase our material to obtain CE credits through the California Board of Nursing.
  • Regularly collaborate with Director of Clinical Services and Education Specialist to coordinate outside in-service events and course enrollment.
  • Attend monthly clinician meetings to support the Wound and Product Specialists and their facilities with questions regarding Gentell University.

Course Creation & Global Training Support

  • Assist with the creation, formatting, and publishing of training courses, job aids, and learning materials.
  • Translate or coordinate translation of training content for global locations to ensure consistency and understanding across regions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment with company standards.

New Hire Orientation & Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate all logistics for monthly New Hire Orientation programs, including scheduling, communication, materials, and facilitator support.
  • Welcome newly hired employees on their first day and ensure a smooth transition into the company's onboarding process.
  • Organize and schedule facility tours for new hires in partnership with relevant departments.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Set up and distribute routine and ad-hoc training compliance reports from the LMS.
  • Support HR and supervisors by providing accurate data on employee training completion and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor completion trends and alert appropriate stakeholders when action is needed.

Work Environment

  • Office-based in Yardley, PA - In-office requirement 
  • Occasional flexibility may be required to support training events or orientation schedules

Requirements

 
Qualifications:
Required

  • 1-3 years of experience in training support, HR, administrative support, or related roles
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word)
  • Experience working in or supporting a Learning Management System
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred

  • Experience with course development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Rise)
  • Experience working with global or multilingual teams
  • Prior involvement in onboarding or new employee orientation programs
  • Familiarity with translation processes or tools
