Position Description: Learning & Development Coordinator 

The Learning & Development Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of employee learning and development programs across the organization. This role partners closely with the Learning & Development Manager to coordinate training activities, administer the Learning Management System (LMS), maintain training records, develop learning resources, and support employee growth initiatives. 


As the organization continues adoption of its newly implemented Learning Management System, this position will play a critical role in creating a positive learner experience, driving employee engagement with learning programs, growth opportunities within the company, and supporting the continuous improvement of training and development efforts across all departments. 


Requirements

 Requirements Primary Duties: 

  • Coordinate company-wide training schedules, learning programs, workshops, and development initiatives 
  • Administer and support the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), including course assignments, enrollments, user support, and learner tracking 
  • Support ongoing adoption and enhancement of the company's newly implemented LMS 
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, compliance documentation, and employee learning histories 
  • Create and distribute learning reports, dashboards, and training metrics to support organizational decision-making 
  • Monitor employee training completion rates and follow up with employees and leaders as needed 
  • Assist in coordinating onboarding and orientation learning activities for new hires 
  • Gather and evaluate learner feedback to measure training effectiveness  
  • Organize and facilitate learning and development events, workshops, and training sessions 
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining training materials, job skills, guides, tutorials, and other learning resources 
  • Help evaluate the effectiveness and return on investment of training programs through reporting and data analysis 
  • Promote learning opportunities and employee participation through training communications and awareness campaigns 
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned  

Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Learning & Development, Training Coordination, Human Resources, Employee Development, Education, Operations Support, or a related field  

OR 

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred 

Experience & Skills: 

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Learning & Development, Training Coordination, Human Resources, Employee Development, Education, Operations Support, or a related field 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities simultaneously 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reporting 
  • Experience coordinating projects, events, training programs, or employee development initiatives 
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred 
  • Experience creating reports, tracking metrics, and analyzing data preferred 
  • Experience supporting employee onboarding, learning programs, or professional development initiatives preferred 
  • Experience supporting or administering a newly implemented Learning Management System and driving user adoption is highly desirable 
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and employee development practices preferred 
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems 

Preferred Certifications and Training: 

  • APTD, CPTD, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or similar professional certification 
  • LMS administration or learning technology certifications 
  • Training facilitation, instructional design, adult learning, project management, or organizational development coursework or certifications
