Job Description
Job Summary
The PLM Systems Training team is seeking a technically strong and customer-focused NX CAD/CAE Instructor / Developer to support global engineering and manufacturing organizations. This role is responsible for delivering hands-on instructor-led and virtual training, developing high-quality technical courseware and training material, and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for PLM Systems Software with an emphasis on Computer Aided Engineering applications and functionality.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Active Workspace, Altair software applications and related CAE tools, and combines technical expertise with strong communication and instructional skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training for global learners using established and evolving PLM Systems curriculum
  • Develop and maintain training materials, including course documentation, hands on interactive exercises, demonstrations, videos, and job aids
  • Analyze new and existing Designcenter NX CAE software functionality and translate it into effective learning content
  • Maintain training content alignment with current and future production software releases
  • Record and produce software demonstrations and learning videos using standard authoring tools
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for NX, Teamcenter, Active Workspace, and related PLM processes
  • Collaborate with business and software application owners to understand release changes and training impacts
  • Continuously learn and validate new tools, functionality, and best practices

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 5+ years of CAD/CAE experience in automotive product development
  • 5+ years of combined experience with NX, Altair software, Teamcenter, and/or Teamcenter Visualization
  • Subject matter expertise in two or more of the following:
    • Siemens NX CAD/CAE applications and functionality
    • Teamcenter / Active Workspace
    • CAE tools (e.g., FEA, SimSolid, Mold Flow, Topology Optimization, Ansys, Hypermesh)
  • Strong presentation and instructor-led training skills
  • Experience with AI platforms Glean, CoPilot and the ability to create and implement agents, bots, and expedite task resolution with technical skill prompting expertise
  • Execute and adapt to dynamic multi-role task environments
  • Experience developing technical training materials and learning content
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common learning tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Snagit)
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and roles in a fast-paced, technical environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Senior Designer background
  • Experience as an Instructor, Developer, software tester, or Mentor for PLM Systems software
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or similar content-authoring tools
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) or Black Belt experience
  • Background developing enterprise technical training programs
