Job description

We are seeking a Project Manager, Development to join our team! The Project Manager, Development supports the execution of CyrusOne's data center development projects by coordinating daily workflows across permitting, utilities, due diligence, engineering, incentives, tax, legal, sales, and construction enablement. This role ensures project documentation, schedules, risk logs, and cross-functional action items are accurate, up to date, and aligned with development milestones. The Project Manager, Development plays a critical role in driving operational discipline and supporting the Director and VP of Development Management in delivering development readiness for new data center sites.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinates day-to-day development activities across land, permitting, utilities, tax incentives, engineering, legal, and construction to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and project milestones stay on track.
  • Supports execution of due diligence, including surveys, environmental studies, geotechnical, zoning research, title review, site constraints analysis, and utility feasibility.
  • Maintains and updates project schedules, risk registers, action logs, and status dashboards, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Facilitates document control and information flow, ensuring all teams (internal and external) are aligned on latest designs, reports, approvals, and permitting requirements.
  • Assists with entitlement and permitting tracking, interfacing with internal functional areas to ensure consultants and jurisdictions requirements and timelines are clearly documented, tracked and executed.
  • Manages relationships and deliverables with internal functional areas confirming external consultants scopes are adhered to and materials meet quality and project timeline expectations.
  • Identifies risks and dependencies early, escalating to stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Ensures adherence to standardized development management processes, tools, and templates aligned with CyrusOne's global development framework.
  • Prepares meeting agendas, materials, and executive summaries for internal development reviews and cross-functional coordination sessions.
  • Fastpaced environment managing multiple deliverables and stakeholder communications.
  • Some travel required for site visits, vendor meetings, and jurisdictional coordination.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-6+ years of experience in data center development, project management, real estate development, engineering coordination, or construction project support.
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include real estate, engineering, planning, environmental science, or project management.
  • Experience working with consultants (civil, environmental, survey, permitting), engineering firms and general contractors.
  • Familiarity with due diligence workflows, permitting processes, and utilities.
  • Prior experience with largescale commercial, industrial, or data center projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastmoving environment.
  • Ability to interface effectively with technical, commercial, and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
