Position Overview:

Emergent Preparatory Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our dynamic team of educators. The ideal candidate will hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. This position requires a professional who believes in nurturing each child’s curiosity, creativity, and development through intentional play-based and inquiry-driven learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Creative Curriculum and our center’s philosophy of emergent, child-centered learning.
  • Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the emotional, cognitive, social, and physical development of all children.
  • Observe, document, and assess children’s progress to inform instructional planning and communicate effectively with families.
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and classroom ratio standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and administrators to build a supportive community that values equity, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to staff meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and school events.
  • Model positive behavior, professionalism, and strong communication with children, parents, and staff.
Qualifications:

  • Required: Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
  • Required: Currently enrolled in college pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
